Bucket table
A bucket table provides a storage space for things you don’t want to leave out in the rain, like citronella candles and pillows.
Outdoor coffee table
Paint your cinderblocks and use them as an outdoor coffee table or flower box.
Impromptu couch
With a few long pieces of wood, you can also use cinder blocks to create an impromptu couch.
Never Lose a Garden Glove Again!
Cut two 1 1/4″ long pieces of 3/4″ wide grosgrain ribbon. Sew 1 piece of ribbon to inside of cuff, leaving 1 side open. Slip a 1/2″ rare-earth disk magnet into the pocket; stitch to close. Repeat with second glove. Attach to metal bucket.
Sleep Close Together in a Tent
Less cold air will rise through the floor.
Keep Garden Tools Clean, Sharp, and Rust-Free
Fill a trough with sand to 1″ from top. Pour in 1/4 cup motor oil (sand should be a bit moist); stir. Wipe tools with a rag before placing in. The sand will keep tools clean and sharp, and the oil will keep them rust-free.
Collect Firewood Easier – Make a Carrier
On a 22 by 42″ piece of canvas, stitch 1 1/2″ hem on long sides & a 2″ hem on short sides. Use 1/2″ grommets, a hammer, and block of wood to drive 2 holes through hem on each short side, 4 1/2 inches from corners. Slip two 30″ ropes through, & knot.
Install Carpet in your Boat
Cameras, lures, rods/reels, and cell phones, when dropped in an aluminum boat, may as well be an in-water siren. Install carpet in your boat. It will act as an insulator and keep the noise inside your boat above water (preventing scaring away fish).
Use a Matted Metal Instead of Shiny Fishing Lures
Shiny fishing lures can attract certain fish, but the reflection of the sun can blind them and cause confusion. Use a matted metal fishing lure instead if possible, to avoid too much reflection.
